Helping Seniors Thrive (HST) is a nonprofit organization that helps older adults overcome barriers to healthcare, benefits, essential resources, and social connection so they can live independently and thrive in their communities.
We provide navigation and resource assistance, Medicare education, health and wellness programs, social connection and companionship, transportation support, digital literacy and scam prevention, and assistance connecting to community resources and benefits. We also offer programs and navigation services for veterans.

Yes. HST does more than provide referrals. When permitted, we help seniors and veterans identify programs they may qualify for, gather the information needed, and complete applications for benefits and community assistance. Some specialized services may require us to connect you with an authorized or licensed professional.
Complete our Volunteer Form to tell us about your interests, skills, and availability. Volunteer opportunities may include assisting at community events, supporting senior programs, providing companionship, helping with outreach, and sharing professional expertise.

Yes. Helping Seniors Thrive is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and contributions are generally tax-deductible as allowed by law. Donors receive a receipt for their contribution.
We welcome partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, businesses, faith-based organizations, senior communities, government agencies, and others who share our commitment to helping older adults thrive. HST primarily serves older adults age 60 and older, including veterans, in the Greater Houston area, with a focus on Harris and Fort Bend counties. Eligibility may vary depending on the specific program or service.
Many HST programs, educational events, and navigation services are provided at no cost to participants. Some services, such as certain companion or individualized support services, may have a fee. We will always explain any cost before services are provided.
